NJMCdirect Not Working? What to Try and Who to Call

Not the official site. New Jersey Ticket Guide is an independent guide. We are not the New Jersey Courts, NJMCdirect or any municipal court, and we never take payments. Use the official site: NJ Courts municipal court self-help.
Last verified: October 13, 2026 against njcourts.gov. Rules and screens can change, so confirm on the official site.
If NJMCdirect is not working for you, start with the basics below. We cannot see the official system and cannot tell you if it is down, so this is a checklist plus the official help contacts. Our full guide is here: NJMCdirect: what it is and how to pay.
Check the basics first
- Make sure you are on a njcourts.gov address, starting from the official self-help page.
- Re-enter the court ID number, ticket number and license number exactly as printed on the ticket.
- Try another browser or turn off extensions that block pages, then try again.
- Try again later. Do not pay on a site you do not recognize.
Cannot find your ticket?
A ticket may not show up right away, or the court may not be the one you think. Use the Municipal Court Case Search or call the municipal court. See how to check a NJ traffic ticket online.
Who to call
NJ Courts lists a Help Desk at (609) 421-6100, Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, and a Report an Issue option on the NJCourts Online login page. You can also call the municipal court that issued the ticket.
Do not miss your court date
A technical problem does not move your court date. Ask the court about it. See how to request a different court date and what happens if you miss it.
Other ways to pay
See NJ ticket payment online and NJMCdirect pay ticket, step by step.
